SMEs to claim £80 million in tax credits

The Government has allocated an extra £80 million in tax windfalls to help support research and development in small businesses.

The additional tax relief will bring the total allocation to £300 million for small businesses to develop new and innovative products.

SMEs investing in research and development will be able to claim tax credit on 175% of their investment in future, an increase of 25% on the previous allowance.
