Brighton is hosting a sustainable eco festival this year called Green Wave which will be educational yet fun, and will provide the perfect opportunity for local businesses to showcase a wide spectrum of green products and services.
If you are a local company and currently working to reduce your carbon footprint, become eco friendly or simply sell goods in sustainable bags – and are trying to get your positive green message across to the public - then this event could be the marketing vehicle for you!
The Green Wave event, organised by the Brighton & Hove Business Forum and New Era Associates, will be held in Preston Park from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday 5 and 6 July 2008.
There will be showcasing opportunities for all sectors of the community in a variety of themed zones, providing lots of interactive entertainment for the family. A Farmers Market, gardening, wormery and composting ideas, and a mini eco farm are just some of the features of the Earth Zone.
Arts and craft displays, reclaimed wood carving and a quirky fashion show will bring once discarded materials alive in the Recycling zone, whilst the Energy Zone will amaze all the family with innovative products using sustainable energy, ranging from mobile phones to solar powered cars.
The emphasis will be on biodiversity, eco friendly, Fairtrade, homemade, locally produced, low carbon footprint, recycled and sustainable!
We are inviting involvement from both the public and private sectors in showcasing their products and services, and also seeking sponsorship to establish a high quality annual event for the city.
