Defra wants retailers to donate sustainable clothing
The government Department for Environment, Food and Rural affairs (Defra) has put out a call to retailers and manufacturers to provide samples of sustainable clothing for an upcoming study.
The government department has commissioned Nottingham Trent and Sheffield Hallam universities to conduct a study that will help it to understand consumer behaviour towards and acceptance of sustainable fashion.
The study will include research into laundering, the role of celebrities, fast fashion and longevity. A number of focus groups will be set up around the country to enable members of the public to test the clothing.
If you are a fashion retailer and have an eco or sustainable range and want to help the government with this research please contact Tom Fisher at email@example.com.
