Brighton & Hove City Council’s pioneering talking bus stops scheme has reached the finals of two national awards.
The scheme, that allows visually impaired people to electronically access travel information, is on the shortlist of the 2007 e-Government Awards and also 2008 National eWell-Being Awards.
The e-Government Awards recognise and praise the best in public sector ICT & e-Government - across local/ central government, non-departmental public bodies, non-governmental organisations and other deliverers of e-government services.
The winner will be announced at a presentation dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 22 January.
