The Brighton & Hove city centre management initiative hosted a visit from their counterparts in Southampton on Wednesday 31st October to discuss a range of issues in common.
Southampton city centre manager Ian Rothwell and his team came to look at the Brighton Business Improvement District (BID), which was established in July 2006.
Southampton is working towards a BID in their city centre under the direction of BID Manager John Edjvet who was previously seconded to the Brighton city centre management initiative on a part time basis from Brighton City Council.
Other issues under discussion included the business crime reduction partnership, operating markets in city centres and the proposed supplementary business rate scheme.
