Park House site

Park House in Hove to be redeveloped

Park House on Old Shoreham Road between the Recreation Ground and Hove Park is to be converted into 75 new homes of which 45% will be affordable.

Formerly Bellerbys College the site has become available due to their relocation to the New England Quarter (the old Station Goodsyard site) and the Hyde Group will redevelop it in association with Brighton based Pollard Thomas Edwards architects (PTE).

There will be a mix of tenures including shared ownership and rented accommodation and the marketing of the new development will focus on local older people who may be keen to downsize and unlock larger family homes.

The development will have a Level 3 Code for Sustainable Homes (the replacement for the Eco Homes rating) reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the new buildings by at least 25% over current national building guidelines.
