After 12 years as Chair of the highly successful Brighton and Hove Business Community Partnership Peter Field is stepping down at the AGM in October
Also retiring are the current board of “Caretaker” Trustee Directors, Alan Bealby, Glynn Jones, David Martin, Richard Ogden and John Reeve.
“When we set up BCP it was always intended that the organisation would be owned by its members and run by them” said Peter. “The final pieces of the jigsaw have been put in place this year, and we can now hand over to a dynamic new team who can take the organisation to the next stage.”
Reflecting back on the BCP’s achievments over the years he is proud of the fact that throughout its existence, BCP has brokered millions of pounds of goods and services between the Business and Voluntary and Community sectors in Brighton and Hove, and has set up hundreds of ongoing partnerships between these sectors.
“We pioneered ‘Community Mark’, for the national charity, Business in the Community.” He said. “Community Mark is a ‘kitemark’ for companies keen to prove their Corporate Social Responsibility credentials, and I am delighted that Corporate Social Responsibility is a way of life now for all companies – not just in our region, but in the Country as a whole.”
The Business Community Partnership AGM is being held at the Seattle Hotel on Wednesday 24th October. If you are not a member and would like to attend call BCP on 01273-770075.
