Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership host a breakfast meeting to update commercial agents on the progress of the £2.2bn of developments in the pipeline for the city over the next decade.
Held on 6th September 2007 and attended by a number of commercial agents, the event provided an opportunity for agents to find out how the major development projects, such as Black Rock, King Alfred and Brighton i360 are progressing.
Attendees heard from Andy Glover, Economic Development Officer and Cheryl Finella, Economic Development Lead Officer from Brighton & Hove City Council who also provided updates on the Council's Local Development Framework and a new grant scheme, Selective Finance for Investment in England, available to businesses located on the South Coast.
The agents also had the opportunity to share their views on the Council's Commercial Property Database. Most agreed that it played an important role and committed to exploring further measures to ensure new businesses are aware of the support provided by the Council's Economic Development Team and that the Council is kept up to date on new businesses which move to the city.
Attendees found the meeting useful and agreed to meet on a quarterly basis going forward.
