Station site’s Beetham Tower rejection confirmed
Denial of planning consent by the City Council for a controversial 42 storey tower on the old station goodsyard site has been confirmed by the Secretary of State Ruth Kelly.
Ruth Kelly – Secretary of State for Communiteis and Local Government – has confirmed that the original decision by Brighton & Hove Council to deny planning consent in July 2005 was correct because the tower would be detrimental to the local area.
