Wollards Field

New County Archive Office could be in Brighton

A multi million pound historical resource centre could be located at Woollards Field just off the Lewes Rd opposite Stanmer Park if a bid to the Heritage Lottery fund is successful.

The existing County Archive Office has been located in Lewes for nearly 60 years and has thousands of historical documents some dating back 900 years. The new building would cost in the region of £22m.
