Brighton & Hove's reputation secures another visit from the BBC's Hard Sell team.
Last March, Hard Sell, a daytime series for BBC1 which pitches two teams of two salespeople head to head to outwit and out-sell each other, filmed in and around Brighton.
This March Brighton & Hove is the only city that the BBC series is set to return to as it proved to be such a friendly and hospitable place.
Cathy Clarke, Researcher for the series said: "We're coming back to Brighton for series two as it proved to be a fantastic location for filming Hard Sell with lots of independent traders, great characters, fantastic teams and lovely weather! We hope to have the same again this March when we return."
Cathy is on the look out for teams to take part in the new series. Each team will be given one of two suitcases containing a number of items of similar value, with at least one or two items with some connection to the city. They will then have a day to sell the contents in the city centre and the winners are the team which makes the most money on the day. They get to keep the money they make and the other team's profits too!
The Research team is looking for confident, lively, chatty and competitive people who work in sales with a good sense of fun and the desire to win. They hope that the teams will be able to draw from their local knowledge and their professional expertise to find the best selling market for their items (i.e. there will be some selling on the street and some in more specialist locations).
If you have a sales background, want to confirm Brighton & Hove's reputation as the "place to be" and are interested in applying as a team, please contact Cathy on 0117 9746977 or Tom on 0117 974 6672 for an application form.
