The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) has been praised by the National Audit Office for its achievements on a very tight budget derived to a large extent through working in partnership.
It scored 21 out of a possible 24 in a recent independent performance assessment (IPA) and was deemed to be “performing strongly”.
Recommendations for improvement centred on better feedback on the results of consultations with smaller partners over the new regional economic strategy and scope to disseminate more examples of best practice in sustainability. SEEDA’s promotion of sustainability was singled out for special praise by the inspectors.
SEEDA is a core funder of the Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership (BHEP)
