Local Plan replacement - consultation opportunity
The first two documents of the Local Development Framework (LDF), which will replace the Local Plan when it expires in 2008, are open to a six week consultation period from November 9th. The consultation is important to all sectors of the business community but particularly to developers and commercial agents.
The LDF forms a suite of documents that will outline the vision for the city and guide the location of new schools, houses, offices and shops in the city for the next 20 years. The Core Strategy and Sites Allocations Issues and Options documents will be subject to a strict 6 week consultation period. The Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership is on the steering group for the LDF and it will be discussed at Tuesday’s full EP meeting at the Martlets Hospice. For more details of the LDF click on the link below to Brighton & Hove City Council's website www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/ldf
