Local businesses seeking high-profile branding and corporate entertainment in association with the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival must contact organisers by 7th July.
Businesses are urged to support the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival - now in its fourth year.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for as little as £2,000 for local businesses, whilst restaurants, bars and other food and drink related businesses can join up as supporters and hold their own official fringe events for just £75.
“Now in our fourth year, the food and drink festival is growing from strength to strength in the ‘city of festivals’ annual line up,” said Paula Seager, Festival Director and PR Director of Priory PR and Events. “The date for the one-month celebration of the best of local food and drink has been fixed from 1st September throughout the month, offering something for everyone in the city. We are calling on businesses in the city to celebrate with us.”
Sponsors and supporters already signed up in 2006 include: Brighton & Hove City Council, A Taste of Sussex (part of Sussex Enterprise promoting Sussex producers), X-Leisure, The Priory Partnership, Brightongrid.com, Brighton Business Forum, Brighton & Hove Business Community Partnership, Big Picture Productions, Paskins, New Era Associates, The Argus, The Latest and Southern FM.
Approximately 30 local food and drink outlets have already committed to hold fringe events, as the festival is now a recognised national event, and recently featured as a key food event in The Times and The Observer Food Monthly.
The festival guarantees its sponsors a high profile through its website, attracting 12,000 unique visitors during the festival; local media, including partnerships with The Argus and Southern FM; and its programme, distributed to 50,000 people. The events held throughout September will attract thousands of visitors and involve hundreds of local businesses.
The main events include:
- Launch event - the ‘Fiery Food Festival’ - on the evening of 1st September, followed by a 2-day market at Brighton Marina.
- ‘A Taste of Sussex’ Festival Food and Drink Market, on 16th and 17th September, and also includes the Pumpkin Palace – the culmination of the festival’s Pumpkin Challenge, which has involved distributing 40,000 branded packets of pumpkin seeds in the spring, in partnership with The Argus, to families in Brighton.
- Spectacular Regency Festival Banquet, an exclusive Regency costume event for 120 people, held in the banqueting room and kitchens of the Royal Pavilion.
- Repeat of the popular and very funky ‘Battle of the Bars – Bar Idol’, seeking the best cocktail bar tender in the city.
