As a follow on from an initial networking dinner in March, a number of the city's largest employers met again on 31st May at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.
Attendees explored further the issues of affordable housing, transport and skills raised at the initial meeting.
Agreement was reached on four broad themes which covered attendees common challenges and warranted further discussion; transport, development of sites and premises, recruitment & skills and quality of life.
These themes will form the basis of more in depth discussion at future events planned for September and the end of the year.
Many of the businesses at the meeting remarked that although they are represented nationally through various trade associations very few of them have local representation.
The Economic Partnership is keen to find ways of raising the profile of the voice of the economy in the city and hopes that future events will uncover avenues for collaboration and representation for larger employers in the city.
