The new owners have already indicated that they anticipate an increase in flights to European destinations and short hop flights to places like Edinburgh but they are playing down the likelihood of large-scale expansion.

They have, however attracted the German plane manufacturer Piper to Shoreham where it will establish its UK base. This will include sales and demonstration aircraft and a spare parts service.
