Move into 21st Century national planners told
The Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) – David Frost – launched a scathing attack on “archaic and unhelpful” planning system at regional and national level that he claims is in need of urgent reform.
He suggested that failures in the UK’s infrastructure were costing business £15bn per annum and he made a strong attack against “endless red tape and delays caused by local authorities up and down the UK”
The BCC wants to see a 30 year national planning framework backed by increased investment and a higher priority in next year’s comprehensive spending review.
