Following a review of the largest employers in the City, the Economic Partnership invited the top 30 private sector employers to a networking dinner on 23rd March.
The dinner was well attended and provided an opportunity for the employers to network and have open and frank discussions.
Attendees discussed a number of issues pertinent to their business including affordable housing, transport, skills and the image of the city. They found they shared common challenges and frustrations and discussed possible ways to approach these. Those present agreed to build on progress made at the meeting.
Simon Fanshawe, Chair of the Economic Partnership, said, "The Economic Partnership is delighted to bring the top 30 private sector employers together for the first time on their own. With a number of strategic decisions about housing and employment on the horizon, it is vital that the large employers get together to express their views and work together to make Brighton & Hove an even more propersous place to do business."
The Economic Partnership plans to hold further events for the top 30 employers to explore avenues for collaboration and ways of raising the profile of the business voice in the city.
