Don’t be intimidated by fraudsters
The way to avoid falling victim to business fraud is to make sure you stay one step ahead of the fraudster. The way to do that is to tune into your local Fraud Webpage.
Fraudsters are smart and are becoming more and more sophisticated and brazen in their approach. You don’t need to be a ‘bit naïve’ to fall victim to fraud. It could happen to anyone.
You can keep up to date with numerous frauds and scams that unfortunately many businesses in the area are falling for by visiting the Sussex Police Fraud Webpage at http://www.sussex.police.uk/community_safety/fraud.asp
Here you will find information and advice on a wide range of scams from Data Protection Registration Scams right through to letters from scamsters asking your permission to put several million pounds into your company bank account.
To keep up to date you can also download the Sussex Police Fraud Alert Bulletin at http://www.sussex.police.uk/community_safety/downloads/FAB.PDF
