SMEs lose out on profits from tackling climate change
A recent MORI poll commissioned by Shell has found that tackling climate change offers the chance for small businesses to make money but very few are taking advantage of the opportunity. They could be losing out on £40,000 of private sector grant money.
The survey of 200 SMEs found that 87% think that climate change represents a significant commercial opportunity but less then 20% see it as an opportunity for their company.
The Shell Springboard fund is offering up to £40,000 to small companies to develop innovative new products and services that help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. For more details visit www.shellspringboard.org
