Sussex Police now distribute an electronic CrimeWatch page which is sent out to companies, local hospitals, Brighton & Hove Council, and a variety of local services. The purpose of the page is to gain greater involvement of key organisations and people in tracking down suspects and missing persons.
Paul Knight, Crime Reduction Officer for Sussex Police says, "The CrimeWatch page contains local missing people and CCTV images of suspects that Sussex Police would like to be identified. It has been working very well with many positive identifications. We distribute an updated version of the page every two weeks."
Paul is keen to extend the scheme to include more local businesses and has put out an appeal to people to sign up for the email alerts. To sign up for the CrimeWatch page send an email to email@example.com stating that you have read this article and would like more information on CrimeWatch.
As many staff who work in the city also live around the area there are lots of eyes and ears out there and your staff could help make a real impact on crime.
