Brighton & Hove City Council is taking its search for key staff to one of Britain’s biggest recruitment fairs. In an effort to fill vital jobs the Council is having to look outside the city.
Mark Lamb, director of human resources and Liz Rugg, assistant director, social care, are both speaking at Society Guardian Live on October 5 and 6 at London’s Earl’s Court.
The event is the largest local authority recruitment event in the south of England. Posts difficult to fill are town planners, social workers and environmental health officers.
Recruitment manager Lance Richard said, “It is an opportunity to promote nationally the council as an employer, highlight the diversity of jobs we have and the benefits they can offer. These include flexible working, a commitment to the continued investment in staff with opportunities for learning and good supervision.”
All council posts are listed on its website www.jobs.brighton-hove.gov.uk
