Nesta has an initiative called the Creative Pioneer Programme consisting of: 11 months support, a residential course in business and personal development and the opportunity to apply for £35k start-up grant.
It is targeted a people who have graduated in the last 5 years.
"The Creative Pioneer Programme is committed to growing the creative industries by encouraging a new and unconventional approach to business. It shows creative people that they have the potential to make great entrepreneurs. Then it gives them the tools and support they need to get their ideas off the ground."
Among the criteria: You must have completed your higher education studies within the last five years, i.e. after May 2000.
You must have either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a subject related to the Creative Industries. These include Advertising, Architecture, Craft, Design, Digital Media, Fashion, Film & TV, Fine Art, Leisure Software, Music, Performing Arts, Photography, Publishing and Radio’
Or have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a different discipline and have worked in the Creative Industries for a minimum of one year.
