The Lanes Business Network has been established to promote and represent business in The Lanes and it got off to a glittering start at the launch party this week.
The Launch, held at the First Light gallery, Nile Street, on Tuesday 31 May, was attended by local traders and members of the Network. Also representatives from Brighton City Centre Business Forum including the City Centre Manager Soozie Campbell. The guest speaker was local councillor Sue John.
Prizes for the occasion were donated by local businesses; Lanes Health & Beauty Clinic, Trevor Sorbie, Carr & Priddle and the Lanes Business Network committee. Hair and Beauty Vouchers were won by Claire Stephens of Quontum and Suzie Line of Sweaty Betty. Maddy Carr of BCCBF won a bottle of champagne and Heather James of Karis was presented with a case of red wine. All the wine at the launch was donated by Nick Ellis & Partners - local solicitors.
The Network have adopted a modern and eye-catching logo which can be used by anyone trading in The Lanes in order to establish a cohesive identity. This can be accessed by e-mailing email@example.com
The LBN's Chair, Stuart Wilkie, said that the aim of their organisation was to develop strong working relationships within the local business community and the local authority through networking, social events and joint promotion. Their first campaign has already been planned, targeting affluent shoppers in the southeast, in conjunction with Hilton Hotels. Mr Wilkie said: - "The Lanes Business Network will be working closely with the council and other organisations to provide the best environment for local business and customers alike".
