TransportEnergy offers up to five days of free on-site advice to help organisations develop a travel plan for workplace or tourism / leisure venues.
UK business looses £20 billion a year through congestion alone; due to missed appointments, late arrivals and overrun schedules. However, help is at hand. The government offers free expert consultancy advice to help organisations adopt and implement a travel plan.
If you have problems retaining staff due to difficulties travelling to your site, your workplace suffers from parking and congestion problems, you need to manage transport to expand or develop a site or you want to minimise your organisation’s impact on the local and global environment you can apply for Site Specific Advice (SSA), run by TransportEnergy BestPractice.
Through it’s BestPractice programme, Transport Energy offers up to five days of FREE advice from an experienced transport consultant on how to alleviate traffic problems around your workplace. Following an on-site visit, you will receive tailored advice from your consultant in the form of an action report.
The SSA scheme runs until the end of March 2006. Application forms and an information flyer can be downloaded at: http://www.transportenergy.org.uk/developtravelplan/advice. Alternatively, call the TransportEnergy BestPractice hotline on 0845 602 1425 to obtain an application pack.
