Sunblest Bakery site success
The former bakery on the outskirts of Brighton & Hove has become the city’s first “true business park” according to Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership member Chris Oakley
The 3.8 hectare site in Woodingdean was purchased by developers St Modwen in 1998 and completely demolished to make 1,400 square metres of Grade A office space called Castle House. There is scope for further development on the site and work has already started on Phase 2 of the scheme half of which has been pre-sold to local companies.
According to Chris Oakley the combination of good quality, air conditioned offices and parking spaces are the two elements that contribute to the development’s popularity.
