Brighton skills project attracts £3m funding
Led by Brighton University, the Sussex Lifelong Learning Network (SLLN) has been launched to improve workforce skills in the city over the next three years
It aims to do this by closing the gap between what skills businesses want and those that workers have to offer. The network will encourage people who have fallen out of education without qualifications to re-enter education. Developing existing links between businesses and further education institutions will be an important part of this process. The project will start with a major mapping exercise of the entire county to see what is offered where and to identify any gaps in provision. For more information contact Colin Monk at the University of Brighton.
