Thanks to the North Laine Traders Association the North Laine will sparkle this Christmas. The Association has provided lights for all its members to adorn their windows for the festive season.
Peter Stocker NLTA secretary said, “It is important to brighten up the shops at this time of year to create a welcoming glow and attract shoppers to our unique area. Christmas lights enhance the shopping experience and will encourage people to come back for more.”
This year over a 140 sets of 12-metre rope lights have been given out to members of the NLTA by the Association at a cost of £3,200.
The lights are up in time for the following North Laine events…
- Thursday 9th and 16th December Late night shopping with Martlets carol singers
- Sunday 19th December Late night shopping with Salvation Army carol singers
At this time of year the North Lane Traders Association normally donates £200 to a worthwhile cause and this year it will be given to the Martlets Hospice, which provides palliative care to patients, families and carers in Brighton and Hove, and the surrounding area.
