Temporary workers could be given full employee rights ...BCC wants to hear your views
The European Union is preparing legislation to give temporary workers the same rights to essential working conditions (including pay) as permanent workers. The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) would like to hear your from employers.
In the near future temporary workers could be in a position to demand the same pay and rights as permanent staff in the same company after a 6-week qualifying period. There is some debate concerning the qualifying period and the Chambers is conducting a survey to gauge the views of small businesses.
