Design options that will improve accessibility at bus stops will be on view at public exhibitions in October. Brighton & Hove City Council is planning to improve stops on 10 routes in the city and people are encouraged to come along and make their views known.
Viewing opportunities are planned for Monday, 4 October or Wednesday, 6 October at Hove Town Hall. Both exhibitions are being held from 11 am - 2 pm and 6 pm - 8pm.
The designs follow a public meeting held on 13 September and are based around giving people a level access from the kerb onto the bus. This will make it easier for people with mobility difficulties, buggies or heavy shopping to get on and off.
Councillor Craig Turton, deputy chair of the environment committee, said, "The scheme is part of our ongoing commitment to improving access to bus services throughout the city. We especially welcome the views of people who would like to use the bus services but are currently unable to because of accessibility."
