Brighton hosts first conference on Sustainable Buildings
The first Durabuild conference ‘Sustainability in the Built Environment’ will be held at the University of Brighton on 13, 14and 15 September 2004. It aims to promote best practice and collaboration between regional organisations, businesses, manufacturers, academics and built environment professionals in order to facilitate sustainable development in the Euroregion.
All sessions will include presentations from French and UK experts (with simultaneous translation). Day one will be led by national, regional and local experts identifying current activities towards Sustainability in the Built Environment and day two will focus on specific aspects of good practice under the key headings of Energy, Materials and Health. Day three will consist of site visits to view local examples of good practice.
An informal exhibition will run alongside the conference.
