The Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership (BHEP) has produced a guide to alternative means of getting employees to work.
The Staff Travel Plans booklet outlining alternatives to using the car to get to work has been distributed to 35,000 workers across the city. It is specific to Brighton & Hove and includes the metro bus map, walking times between various destinations in the city, bus frequency times and discounts from local bike shops. It was published as part of a project sponsored by the top 20 employers in the city which also entailed working with major companies to help them to devise their own tailor-made travel plans.
An accompanying leaflet will also be sent to the 200 largest employers in the city outlining the advantages of devising travel plans for their staff and offering assistance.
