Diversions will be in place for approximately 16 weeks. Drivers are asked to find alternative routes, wherever possible, to avoid delays.

Councillor Simon Battle, deputy chair of the environment committee, said, "The £400,000 scheme will improve travel in this busy part of the city for cyclists, pedestrians and public transport users. The work will improve the look of the area as it includes an upgrade for street lighting and tree planting. New pedestrians crossings are also being installed."
