Brighton’s Regent Arcade Goes for £10m
Regent Arcade between East Street and Market Street has been sold by GE Capital to local company Baron Homes which also owns Princes House in North Street.
Regent Arcade has 17,500 sq ft of retail with 28,000 sq ft of offices above and parking for 20 cars. The net income from the site is £769,950 p.a. The arcade suffers like many from being too small to compete with Brighton’s indoor mall - Churchill Square - but too enclosed to offer the ambience of a lively street scene like The Lanes. Unlike nearby East Street it lacks big name fascias that could give it pulling power.
