A delegation of senior planners from the Chinese Academy of Urban Planning and Design visited Brighton last week to learn more about town planning.
The group met with senior planners from Brighton & Hove and were particularly interested in the regeneration of the seafront as well as future developments at major sites in the city.
Councillor Bob Carden commented, "It is instructive that these people chose to come to Brighton & Hove as part of their study tour. The city is attracting proposals with exciting architectural designs and quality building and this is gaining international attention."
Major future plans for Brighton & Hove include the King Alfred Leisure Centre site, Black Rock, Endeavour site on Preston Road and redevelopment of the Marina. Major improvements to the seafront are taking place from the Aquarium to the Peace Statue.
