Consultation with Charity Canvassers Regulatory Body
A meeting has been set up between the North Laine Traders Association street reps and the chair of the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association, Sue Brumpton. Sue is keen to work with the traders to ensure that charity canvassers do not have an adverse effect on the businesses in the streets where they operate.
The meeting will be held at the Brighton City Centre Business Forum office at 6.00pm on 21 October. It is a closed meeting but traders are urged to take any complaints or comments on the subject to their street rep so that their views and experiences may be discussed at the meeting. A copy of the minutes of a meeting between the PFRA and the BCCBF is available to all interested traders. The minutes list complaints raised and record the PFRA’s response to them.
