Applications are invited from not-for-profit organisations and groups for the next round of Capital Learning Grants funding, closing 30 September.
The fund is part of the Brighton & Hove Learning Partnership Single Regeneration Budget round 6 (SRB6). Earlier this year £75,000 was made available to encourage and improve access to learning for adults across the city.
Councillor Don Turner said, "This funding allows groups and organisations to move towards increased independence. It enables rather than merely supports."
"Being awarded anything from £500 up to £5,000 provides training, equipment and materials not otherwise accessible to community organisations."
Groups eligible to apply can do so by completing a simple application form. Contact Dan Shelley on telephone 01273 294922 or email daniel.shelley@brighton-hove.gov.uk. Alternatively, visit www.regenerating.brighton-hove.gov.uk for guidance notes and online application pack.
