23,000 sq metres of homes, shops and restaurants in the heart of the North Laine
The steel and glass building on the Jubilee Street site (home of the new library) has been dubbed The Titanic because of its ship like appearance and size.
It will have 11 shops and a complex of restaurants totalling which will be offered to designer names like Zinc Bar. The North Laine Traders have already started to address some of the challenges and opportunities that the development of the site will offer and are working with the local authority and residents associations to explore ways to make Gardner Street more attractive.
