The UK Economy is up the Swanee but where is Brighton?
Date: 14 May 2013 - Time: 7.30 a.m. for a 7.45 start
By now, everyone has got used to a UK economic picture of austerity, insecurity and negligible growth and a European picture that lurches from tragedy [Spain] to farce [Italy]. But what about Brighton? Can it buck the global trend? The City Business Club explores the question.
Valuable insights into Brighton’s current economic climate will be top of the agenda at the next City Business Club networking breakfast, hosted by City College at the Gallery restaurant on Whitecross Street next Tuesday (14th May) at 7.30am.
In this talk Tony Mernagh, the Executive Director of the Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership (BHEP), Managing Director of Brighton & Hove Business Forum and Chair of the City’s Strategic Partnership and the City Employment & Skills Steering Group, will be offering a candid view of the challenges facing the city along with the many positive aspects that can provide encouragement for the local business community.
