Chamber Breakfast: The ‘Business of being a charity’ Breakfast

Robert Griffiths is Fundraising Director of the Martlets Hospice and a member of the Hospice’s Senior Management Team. Robert has a degree in Hotel Management, worked in Advertising and PR industries for 17 years and prior to joining the Martlets in 1998, spent several years working in sports marketing. He is also a Vice President of the Chamber.
Robert will seek to dispel some of the myths that are often associated with hospice care using both inspirational and amusing patient stories to illustrate how the Hospice seeks to ensure that patients are able to make the most of the time they have remaining and to die with dignity and without fear. He will also talk about the business of running a charity and how he faces up to the annual challenge of raising £3 million.
