Ecological Field Skills

The Ecological Field Skills short course is mainly field-based, giving practical experience of field techniques including wildlife surveying, monitoring and management, and training in data collection, analysis and presentation of field data. This course provides grounding in the fundamental practical skills associated with ecological field research for a range of UK organisms.
The course runs for a total of two full weeks but, depending on your training needs, you can enrol on individual elements, as outlined on the booking form. It will be delivered through fieldwork, laboratory practicals and lectures, and will include individual and group working Who should attend? The course will benefit the following: - Those working in ecology, environmental assessment, biological conservation, biodiversity assessment and/or monitoring or surveying wildlife
- Recent graduates in environmental or biological subjects who are interested in expanding their practical experience
- Anyone wishing to enhance their practical and theoretical knowledge of ecological survey techniques.
