Brighton and Hove Strategic Housing Market Assessment Stakeholder Conference
Date: 21 February 2008 - Time: 4.30pm - 7.00pm
The Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) looks at patterns of demand for and supply of housing across all tenures. This research will provide the city council with a good understanding of the local and sub-regional housing market area and how it operates and will form part of the evidence base used to inform the emerging Local Development Framework and the council’s Housing Strategy. The city council is particularly keen to ensure that the SHMA will inform future plans for the distribution, type, tenure and size of housing that is provided across the city.
The conference has been organised to engage stakeholders from both the public and private sectors with an interest in planning, housing and economic development issues.
The aim of the event is twofold:
- To establish a better understanding of the characteristics of the local and sub-regional housing market.
- To engage stakeholders in discussion about the key issues concerning housing, planning and economic policy in Brighton and Hove and to foster debate on what we should be doing differently in the future.
If you or a colleauge would like to attend the event please contact Lisa Marshall by Thursday 14th February 2008.
See attached agenda for further information.
